Director / Principle
Mike Sullivan	Email Mike
Mike founded Mediprotect in 1999 after many, many years experience in the insurance industry. His previous roles have included Management and Marketing positions at State and National levels for a number of insurers. Mike enjoys keeping his ‘hand in’ and specialises in the affinity sector of the health market, and the larger corporate, particularly the peak bodies of the health professions at State and National level, his particular client segment is the General Practice Network and the recently structured MEDICARE Local network. It is fair to say that Mike is passionate about Mediprotect and sets the highest standards when it comes to customer service. Outside of work, Mike likes to spend time in his garden, ‘tinkering’ with his latest project car and watching Rugby League.  He is an avid motor racing enthusiast.

Caroline Holland	Email Caroline
Caroline joined Mediprotect in 2004 as a Marketing consultant.  At that time she was based in Cairns.  After coming on board permanently the Cairns office was established and managed by Caroline. As technology has increased and changed the way we do business Caroline and her team have now relocated to Brisbane permanently. Caroline holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services and a Diploma in Risk Management. She is also one of Mediprotect's Responsible Officers.  She is the ‘driver’ behind our marketing and sales teams, but still enjoys client contact with quite a few “favourite” or executive clients of her own. When she is not working, her interests included: reading, shopping for anything, motor sports and swimming. Her passions are : "a good cup of coffee" and shoes.

Bill Tinker	Email Bill
Bill is Mediprotect’s longest standing employee having first joined the company at it’s inception in 1999. Having worked in QLD, NSW and Papua New Guinea his experience is extensive in the many areas of the insurance industry; including sales, underwriting, claims and reinsurance. Bill doubles as one of our Responsible Officers and our Safety Officer. Bill’s large portfolio is predominately retail.  He enjoys working with professionals in the healthcare profession, referring to them as “low maintenance and sensible”. In his spare time, Bill likes to relax.  His passion is traveling.

David Kimber	Email David
David was born and bred in Bundaberg and has been with Mediprotect since December 2005 and currently looks after clients in the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and the Northern Queensland areas. David holds both a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Financial Services - Insurance Broking. David is also a keen sportsman and plays Soccer in a local league as well as the odd game of squash. He intently follows the English Premier League where he supports Newcastle United and the NRL where he supports the Broncos (or any side playing a team from south of the border).

Lance Macdonald	Email Lance
Lance has 35 years experience in the insurance industry, 15 years with insurers ‘ General Accident and Commercial Union’, 20 Years brokering with the 2 largest brokers in New Zealand and Australia handling commercial business, specialised school insurance schemes, farms, blood stock, domestic etc.. In 2008 Lance moved to Australia, and joined Mediprotect in 2010. His interests are garage sells, studying bloodstock breeding (Working out whether a horse can run Melbourne Cup distance on breeding), swimming and reading.

Ryan Knight	Email Ryan
Ryan started in 2010 with Mediprotect and looks after West Queensland from Ipswich to Birdsville. He has a background in Financial Services and has been in the insurance industry   since 2005. Ryan enjoys helping new businesses implement the correct insurances for their needs. He is a keen Golfer and enjoys getting out in the weekends and getting muddy with his 4WD.

David Augustyniak	Email David
David joined Mediprotect late 2009.  After completing studies and working in the I.T industry as a programmer for a short period of time, David moved to the finance (Insurance) sector in 2003, holding underwriting positions with major insurers before moving to the Broking Industry.  He currently holds a Diploma in Financial Services - Insurance Broking with the Australian and New Zealand Institute, and Tier 2 qualifications in Underwriting. David looks after several professional indemnity schemes and the Medisure Division of the 'IMGA' Group. He enjoys working with Professional Risks and Liabilities. When not at work David can be found enjoying spending time with his family, working on cars, lifting weights, sprinting hills or in the boxing ring.

Juan Gaston	Email Juan
Juan joined the company in 2007 as a trainee after deciding to take a break from his Psychology Degree.  He received his Diploma of Financial Services - Insurance Broking in 2011 Juan assists Mike Sullivan with the Division of General Practice portfolio. Juan likes to build a good relationship with his clients.  He understands that each individual has different needs and enjoys the challenges they set for him. In his spare time, Juan enjoys watching Mixed Martial Arts, spending time with his family and friends and all sports.

Support Account / Business Manager
Shoko Moriya	Email Shoko
Shoko is our latest addition.  Her role is to assist the Sales and Operation Manager and support the sales team.  Shoko also lends her hand to the Marketing team. On weekends, Shoko likes to spend time with her friends and family.   She enjoys retail therapy, cooking and doting on her dog.

Phil joined Mediprotect in 2010 and after a brief introduction into the business has taken up the role of Managing the newly created Claims division. Phil has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Griffith University and enjoys walking his dogs and going out with friends.

Noelene is Mediprotect’s Compliance Officer and support to the sales team. Noelene joined the company full-time in 2005. Her interests include: bike riding, reading, snapping photos and traveling.
